Have you ever been asked the question, “If Jesus Christ walked the Earth today, would you follow him?”
Jesus Christ was radical. The way he spoke, the way he taught, every single thing he did was radical, but absolutely incredible.
The idea of this ‘smiling happy Jesus’ who gives you everything, but calls you to nothing, it just doesn’t sit right!
(It wasn’t that long ago that the usage of the word radical meant something very good; excellent. A slang word used mainly in the U.S.
Today, radical has become the new buzz word and a term used in the negative, often to create fear and apprehension of something or someone. When using this word in reference to Christ, this is not the case.).
Watch this video, then ask yourself, “What would I risk? Would I follow?”
.
Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. 1 John 2:4-6
- Do you know what it really means to follow Christ, the commands he’s given and his Truth, or do you rely on others to tell you?
- Do you follow the Gospel and it’s literal meaning, or do you rely on the opinions of man to explain it to you?
- Are you even able to discern if they are right or wrong?
- Is the message and words of Jesus Christ important enough to you to actually read them?
- Is your faith in those words so strong that like Hea Woo, you would risk all to follow him?
The Gospel was not given to some, it was given to all. Maybe it’s time we read it. Step out of the darkness and come into the light!
Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the WORD of God. Ephesians 6:13-17
Let those who are persecuted like Hea Woo, teach us what it is to be a true follower of Jesus Christ, our Savior. The one who risked it all for you!

I pray I would follow him no matter the cost. We all have the opportunity you know, right here, right now, in this place. He IS with us.
Amen!
What a testimony of what faith will lead us to and even more miraculously, through. Her example is just so amazing. Wish we could have met her in the video, but the fruit of her spirit shines through. God Bless her, may we all have that little grain of mustard seed inside of us that dares to shine for Christ, not for us, but for His grace.
Oh YES. I will follow Jesus.
Most people do not have a clue. Yeshua taught from ad quoted from the Torah & Tenach. Folks today mostly use the “new” testament. This did not start until after Yeshua’s death and resurrection. Books by the Followers were not even available, yet they believed. We have the whole Bible and we don’t use it. This is our manual for living and it is meant to be followed, every word. So we have to read to be able to follow. Otherwise, like James said, we will be double minded and blown to and fro..
If we were doing this we would be following the verse above in 2nd Cronicles
Agreed! Old Testament + New Testament = The Bible
In Agreement! Although I get stuck in the OT a lot, Jesus is My SAVIOR. 🙂
prettytalkative angel51, the Old Testament points to Jesus and proves beyond any doubt that He (Jesus) is the messiah. It is worth persevering with. Even the long list of names are worthwhile because they give us the history of Israel.
May I suggest you start with Psalms and Isaiah 40 on for a good read and an identifiable background to our LORD. And, of course, prophecy. Daniel, Isaiah, Zechariah, Joel ALL point to events occurring right NOW in the Middle East.
Listen to Lyn’s comments on prophecy. They are amongst the best I have come across.
