Hello, I am new to posting on Ms Lyn’s blog. I wanted to share just a bit about myself. I am a retired teacher, single mom, author, and brain tumor survivor. I have known and loved God all of my life. However, since my surgery in July of 2011, my passion for God has grown. It is my pure joy to share His words of comfort with others facing trials. “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”” Matthew 18:20
Prayer, Worship, and Praise are powerful tools available to the children of God. God inhabits the praises of His children and will march into battle with us every time we sing His praises. Many of us think that Jesus only stands in our midst when two or more are gathered in His name during times of prayer. Not so! When we gather together in worship He is also in our very presence.
When I feel overwhelmed, I sing a praise song or listen to praise music. It always lifts my spirits and allows me to see my problem with more spiritual eyes of faith. My negative outlook becomes more positive and encouraging. My hope is then restored and the peace that transcends all understanding reappears.
Often, I will then pray and seek out the book of Psalms. Today, I want to encourage you to worship God through prayer and praise in the midst of your pain, sorrow, fear, or struggle. You will not only glorify your God, but you will also find once again the peace you have been so sorely lacking.

Abba Father,
You are my Lord and Provider, a shelter from the storms of life. The trials I am encountering right now are trying to defeat me, but I will not let them pull me off the path I must travel. I ask that You hold my hand and help me through this rough patch in this road called life. You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in me… help me to carry on…to be very brave and courageous.
