The sun is currently experiencing abnormal and concerning events as we speak. NASA has recently revealed that a space telescope aimed at the sun has spotted a gigantic hole in the solar atmosphere — a dark spot that covers nearly a quarter of our closest star, spewing solar material and gas into space. The so-called coronal hole over the sun’s north pole came into view between July 13 and 18 and was observed by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, or SOHO. More

One Fox Insider stated that “The reason it’s dark is that whole chunk of the sun basically ripped off, blew out and is coming our way at about two million miles an hour,” said Powell. Well, that doesn’t sound good. Powell explained that this phenomenon happens frequently, but we don’t often see something this large. He said that when the chunk of the sun hits Earth, it would cause auroras, and would wiggle the magnetic field. Also Lloyd’s of London, the world’s specialist insurance company providing services to companies in more than 200 countries, has issued a dire warning of the potential consequences of an electromagnetic pulse event from a solar storm, according to report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin. Lloyd’s study, titled “Solar Storm Risk to the North American Electric Grid,” centered on the highly populated region from New York City to Washington, D.C., but added that other high-risk regions are in the Midwest and in regions along the Gulf Coast. The fact a major insurance company is looking at the economic consequences of an EMP from a direct solar storm suggests there is increasing concern in the insurance industry that companies may be facing the danger of severe economic losses. Sky and Telescope Magazine recently reported that The Sun is acting weird. It typically puts on a pageant of magnetic activity every 11 years for aurora watchers and sungazers alike, but this time it overslept. When it finally woke up (a year late), it gave the weakest performance in 100 years. What’s even weirder is that scientists, who aren’t usually shy about tossing hypotheses about, are at a loss for a good explanation. Three scientists, David Hathaway (NASA / Marshall Space Flight Center), Giuliana de Toma (High Altitude Observatory), and Matthew Penn (National Solar Observatory) presented possible explanations at this month’s meeting of the American Astronomical Society’s Solar Physics Division, but their results sparked a lively debate rather than a scientific consensus. So what does all this mean? We need to keep our eyes fixed on God’s word and realize that we are accelerating quickly into the prophecies foretold thousands of years ago by the prophets of the Holy Bible.
