So you think that you have done some terrible things in your life? Things that are so horrific that you know God would never accept you or love you. Maybe you are very depressed, worried, anxious and afraid. You might feel helpless, hopeless and alone.
Well, I have good news for you. God loves you! Yes, he does. He loves everyone. And not as humans love, but, only as God can love us.
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Hebrews 13:5 ‘Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said:’
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
After all, he gave his only Son as a living sacrifice for us. All he asks for in return is for us to believe in him, repent of our sins and ask him into our hearts as our Lord and Savior. Being a true Christian is not about rituals and performing works. It is about having a close and personal relationship with the living God.
Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
He is our friend, confidant, guidance counselor, protector. He wants to hear from us. He wants us to lay all of our problems on him. He wants to take care of your problems for you.
COUNSELOR:
John 14:26 “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
John 14:16-17 “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”
FRIEND:
John 15:15 “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
PROTECTOR:
Psalm 91:1-6 “Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty,
2 can say to him, “You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you I trust.”
3 He will keep you safe from all hidden dangers and from all deadly diseases.
4 He will cover you with his wings; you will be safe in his care; his faithfulness will protect and defend you.
5 You need not fear any dangers at night or sudden attacks during the day
6 or the plagues that strike in the dark or the evils that kill in daylight.“
God loves you and he will forgive you of your sins. He will wipe away your tears and give you eternal life. You will be a new creation. Born again. Filled with the Spirit of God.
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Revelation 21:4 “‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
John 6:40 “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here!”
Your opportunity to accept Jesus is now! You don’t have forever to decide. Even if Jesus tarries and does not come back for the church ten years from now, you could get killed in a car accident. Anything could happen to you. Why wait another minute? You have nothing to lose by accepting Christ and everything to gain.
Jesus said that he is coming quickly. He gave us the signs to watch for, which he referred to as “birth pains”.
Matthew 24:4-8 “Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
Revelation 22:12-14
“12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
Please don’t wait. You just don’t know how much time you have left on earth. Things will get much worse than they already are.
