Blessings on Obedience

28 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:

3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.

4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.

6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

7 “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

9 “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

  1. Amen! His Torah is as true today as it was from the beginning. Yeshua is the Word made flesh, you can’t reject His Word and truly know our Messiah! Blessings over you sister and may you continue to shine His light and the truth of His Torah. Ebby

    • Amen Ebby. I honestly do not like how the Christian Bible separates the Old from the gives the idea that the older Testament is no longer necessary or needed…like “Yesterday’s News…” or something. It also separates it from bieng a “WHOLE” living being. The Bible in its entirity is one being…alive…it is not to be cut up into parts and taken out of context. Some of the best lessons and teachings for the day is found in the books of the Bible deemed as “The OLD Testament.”

I think one of the biggest problems of today is the concept that the Old Testament is no longer in effect. Many Christians have the underlying idea that because Jesus died and rose again, it is no big deal if we sin..we just say, “Fogive me Lord!” and keep on sinning from day to day as if it is no big deal. What people forget is that Jesus Himsself said, “If you love me, keep MY commandments!” Being God in the flesh, He meant the commandments in the first testament (Tanakh).

The Torah, or the Law, is what we are no longer under, but God did tell the people to wash their hands in avoid certain foods for a reason… God knew that people would get sick and spread disease by eating without washing their hands. He knew that certain foods such as pork caused diseases, from heart disease, to obesity, to other illnesses…a great majority of our diseases today come from pork. Not having healthcare back in those days, God was their only physician..and what a physician to have!

People should take the entire Bible…the Tanakh and the New Covenant …into consideration. Also, the actual word for New Testament is New Covenant..which means New Promise…that new promise is salavtion through the blood of Jesus and the promise of His return to His people..that we who love and obey Him, and call upon Him as our Savior, will one day be redeemed and made perfect…spending eternity with the Father in heaven.

God bless you Ebby! And thank you for your kind words!

  2. Amen sister..Amen! But, I don’t think it’s going to happen until it’s all said and done…..

      • Yes…it sure is. God has also called me, since I was very young, to preach repentance and to prophesy. I must always obey the call of the Lord in my life, no matter what people say to me…I must do as God has commanded me…lest I disobey Him. God tells us in our spirit and confirms what our calling and gifts are. God bless you Alex.

  3. Think this had anything to do with our mess now !!!
I don’t know of too many folks who live this way…we need to come back and honor our God and be odedient to His Word…..

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 God's call to the world! Are you ready?
