If you’ve been crying and asking God to run the devil out of your life, STOP! The Bible says YOU are the one who is supposed to overcome the devil.
How? By resisting him! By rebelling against him when he tells you to do something and doing what God says instead! When Satan tells you some lie, contradict him with the Word of God. Oppose him. This verse says when you do that, he’ll flee from you! He’ll run as in terror!
That means everywhere you go, as you walk in faith and oppose the devil, darkness is pushed back.

The verse I was referring to in my first post is Joshua 1:8-9…This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
If every Christian did this then our country would be far better off in fact we wouldn’t be where we are right now
I don’t credit myself for getting rid of those ungodly distractions, & don’t get me wrong Satan has other ways of trying too distract our family. But now it’s easier to detect now that we aren’t tv zombies anymore
That’s exactly why I got rid of cable and threw away 3 tv sets, and sold all of my video games earlier this year…God opened my eyes to see that the house revolved around the television. Now there is only 1 tv and we are only able to watch movies. I thought it would be difficult but I really don’t miss it at all and our family is better off.
I don’t watch anything on television ever. I only watch ministers on television and Christian movies. I think the video game industry anymore is quite satanic. Good choice in getting rid of that. 😉
You are exactly right. If you think of the average hours per week a person spends in front of the television, whether watching it or playing games on it, compared to how much time they spend with God, it’s sad! I can’t tell you as a private nurse all of the homes I enter of people whose Bible’s are caked with dust.
All too easy to forget and neglect to arm ourselves against dark forces. They are very well prepared and have been perfecting their methods for thousands of years, Satan & his army is very powerful. Anyone who denies that is kidding themselves. If we spend 1 hour a week in the word of God then we aren’t preparing ourselves effectively. There is a Ceres in Isaiah I just can’t remember…I’ll look it up later and add it in. It’s about meditating on Gods word day and night. Great article and important
