Hi Lyn; Wow Yoy really took me back withs music… I had to play that song ” There will always be one more song for you TWICE! God Bless you and thanks for the memories… Bro pat 🙂
You are welcome! I actually got teary eyed only because it took me back to childhood…a sentimental teary eyed…. it’s hard to believe they were considered contemporary back then..now it sounds like quartet music! LOL
I was in my 30’s when I discovered the modern music of the Imperials in the mid 1980’s. I’d heard of them, but wasn’t into Southern Gospel music at the time. I liked the sound that I heard when I started listening to them. Also was a big fan of Russ Taff. Thanks for those music memories.
You’re welcome. My parents took me as a litlte girl to see them perform live…and I sat next to this woman from a different town who was so nice to me…I will never forget her..we exchanged addresses and I wrote letters to her…it seems her name was Glenna Benner, crazy I would remember a name of some woman I onliy met once who sat next to me in an Imperials concert when I was about, I don’t know, 8 or 9 years old??? My father had a Christian talk show on Sunday morning, every Sunday, on the radio, and he would play them. I went to a Baptist church who said they were “acid rock!” LOL!!! Anyway, I like them because I was a kid, and now because it takes me back. God bless you!
Hey Arlee, added some more songs..might want to check out again. It really stinks though, I can’t find any quality recordings..and all of the songs by Russ Taff I liked they’ve got that other guy singing..it’s not that he’s bad or anything..he’s just not Russ and Russ is the one I heard growing up!
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 God's call to the world! Are you ready? Cancel reply
