James 1:2-4
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
We are living in some trying times. There are more perversions, tribulations, and corruption than at any other time in history. We, as the Body of Christ, must develop some backbone during this time, or we’re going to fall as quickly as the house that was made out of Sand.
Mathew 7:24-27, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Which house are you right now? Are you the house built upon a rock, or the house built upon sand?
I would like all of us, together, to participate in something I feel is very important. If you’re willing to participate in this with me, please click like below, and then on the end date of this challenge, come back to this link and write about your experience. What I am hoping for is that by the end of this challenge, we will still continue living out the guidelines regardless.
Are you ready? Good. Here is the challenge, and it’s quite simple. For exactly one entire week from this day and time of you’re seeing this post, I challenge you to ask yourself in every thing you think, speak, and everything you do, ‘What would Jesus say? What would Jesus think? What would Jesus do?‘ It’s that simple.
Now, let’s go one step further. No matter what it is you see, feel, say, or do, after thinking of what Jesus’ response would be, you are to act on it just the way you feel Jesus would. If you see someone somewhere in need, do you walk past them or stop and offer help? If you’re angry with someone, do you blurt out angry words, or loving words? Do you hold on to that anger, or give it to the Lord? Do you make peace with someone even if you don’t feel you’re in the wrong? Can you let go of your pride in a situation and humble yourself? If you have a little extra money, do you do something good for someone with it, or hold on to it and spend it on yourself? There are so many more examples of what I mean, but I think you get the picture. Here, this is the easiest…in ALL things, what would Jesus do?
If you’re watching a worldly television show that you can’t see Jesus watching, are you willing to give it up for one week? And after a week, will it be as important to you? If you’re fornicating with someone (sex outside of marriage), are you willing to give it up for one week, and hopefully, forever? If you’re getting angry because you’re always in a hurry and things just seem to go wrong and slow you down, are you willing to respond differently, as you imagine Jesus would respond?
I am hoping so many of you will reblog this and that we can all stand up together and do this thing for at least this one week as a family for our Lord. After all, what would Jesus do?
Here is my start date: 9/7/2012, 2:30 p.m. I will be coming here daily and posting my success/failures. I hope you will too! If you press LIKE, meaning you’re doing this with me…please leave a note with your start date and the start time. Also, would be great if you left a daily note here about your success. If you have trouble doing that, please feel free to email me at Lyn.Leahz@att.net and I’ll post it for you! God bless you abundantly for participating with me in this.

I hope this will be reposted often.
Thank you Grandma..and God bless you for it! I think it’s a great idea that would only help us walk, talk, think and act more like Jesus.
Okay, so today I was leaving my patient’s apartment building, and I was waiting on the light to pull out when an older woman with a cane was walking passed real slow..so I moved the car back so she could walk passed without having to walk around my car. She smiled and thanked me, but then I thought, “I’m heading the same direction she’s walking. It’s hot out here today. This woman has a cane. She’s older. She’s on the heavy side..she’s probably really uncomfortable and hot. So I stuck my head out the window and asked if she needed a ride.
She looked happy and got into the car, said she was going to the bank a few blocks away (still a pretty good distance to walk, especially for someone who was old with a cane on a hot, sunny day. So I took her to the bank and dropped her off. She said she had to go to the drug store after the bank and then back home. I told her I wouldn’t have time to wait (which I did, I was just in a hurry to get home.)
I realized I left my phone (it’s always the phone..isn’t it? LOL!) at my patients apartment, who lives on the fourth floor of a security building where you have to walk a mile just to get to the back door. So, I headed back from whence I had just came…got my phone, and left…again.
Sure enough, the older woman with the cane was walking through the parking lot of the bank headed to the drug store. I thought, “I’m thirsty anyway.” So I stopped off and walked toward her and greeted her. I went into the store with her, got a water (she wanted to buy my water for me, I said no.) and then took her home, which was just a little ways passed the woman’s apartment building I’d left (twice now).
I said a prayer with her before she got out of the car and left.
So today, I am happy to say I have, so far (there’s still many more hours left in this day) passed the What Would Jesus Do Challenge! Hey, I want to hear some of your experiences…and I’m the only posting! LOL! I admitted I accidentally said a “minor” curse word the other day while moving heavy furniture when the corner of it rammed me in an unmentionable area…. ummm, and I had another experience I wrote about as well.
Let’s hear yours! God bless you! We’re not typing them to brag; rather, to give examples to other people of the small things that can be done, given up, etc. Please add to the comments and share your experiences thus far! Thanks and God bless!

Wayne Augden Monday, September 10th at 8;53 p.m. Nowhere in the Bible does it say it will be easy to follow Jesus…I’m in.
Way to go Wayne! Welcome! Glad to have you join us!
I was moving furniture the other day and the corner of a dresser stabbed me really hard in a certain area of my body..and I slipped, not even thinking (I rarely ever curse…I mean…if I do, it’s hardly ever..) I slipped and said a minor curse word…but then I thought “What would Jesus have done?” I could’ve said, “Glory to God!” Or, “My goodness, praise the Lord!” But I didn’t. I swore. I repented. I messed up!!!! 😉

Already had my first “What Would Jesus Do” Experience. I think I did well. I feel like a better person for it. Please see comments by meeting in the clouds and Ralph’s response to her, then my response. If I have done anything wrong, your opinions welcome. That’s also a part of the reason we’re doing this 😉 Learning experience!

Thank you everyone for your participation..anyone who hasn’t reblogged, if you could, please do. Let’s try and get as many people as we can involved. I think it will be fun, as well as challenging. We’re all going to make mistakes here, but I believe something like this might strengthen some of us. God bless you!
