OK, I’m the odd man out. The last video is the one that makes the most sense to me.
“I truly believe we are at the 6th seal and the 6th trumpet” I don’t mean to start an argument here, the two of you may well know more than I…I just do not see how this statement can possibly be true.
Revelation 8:1-2 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
Revelation 8:6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.
Clearly the seven seals are opened, and then the trumpets occur.
I take Revelation literally, as the does the guy that made the 3 video apparently.
We may well be at the six seal, but it has not happened yet, that is certain.
I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, 13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. 14 The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. 15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
Trumpet 1 The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
Whatever events have happened on earth, none of them (as in the first two videos) fit this description from Revelation 8.
Hail and fire mixed with blood has never happened. In the Greek, blood is translated from haima…which means blood, the blood of men or animals. “Bloody rain” was mentioned…was it blood colored, or real blood? The verse here says blood…no mention of rain.
Fire, translated from the Greek pur, meaning fire. I am aware of the figurative use of this word, but the rest of the verse makes its meaning pretty clear…”A third of the earth was burned up”.
Hail, translated from the Greek word chalaza, meaning hailstone.
All the green grass was burned up, all it says…this has not happened yet, neither have a third of the trees been burned up.
As for the weather, well that was foretold to happen elsewhere, and it is happening.
Think on this, the seals, then the trumpets, then the bowls. They are all progressive, so the seals need to happen first. Also, the judgements get worse as they progress, nothing worse then the sixth seal has happened yet, and the sixth seal has as of yet not happened.
I do believe we are on the brink of the six seal being opened all that being said. But these are just my opinions, does not mean I am right.
Either way…I believe you are both right in saying the things of Revelation are upon us and that the world does not want to hear this…as was also foretold.

@Gomer: You’re not upsetting me or starting an argument. I ‘WANT’ to hear opinions on this. I must say, with the events of this past year..I’m confused! I’m seeking people’s thoughts. You see, I have no definite thought right now. I have my left foot in pre trib, and my right foot in mid. I’ve studied both sides and I have to admit, mid goes more with the Bible than pre. However, I asked you to come here and look at them, and to post your opinion/thoughts because I want to hear them. You’re fine! God bless you Gomer! One more thing Gomer…I forgot. One thing I feel sure of is that we are in the opening of the seals..because the seals ARE NOT judgments. They are the opening of the judgments. The unleashing, so to speak. So we could be in the judgments. I am not sure about all of the rest though. Like I said. I keep begging people to read this book for me because I read it, and it made perfect sense. Now, I’m not taken by false doctrine.and it’s not false doctrine..totally biblical. I was taught that the seals open, then the trumplets, then the bowls. But after much prayer and study, I believe that the seals and trumpets run concurrent. The trumpets I view as God’s warnings to His people. Trumpets have always been used as announcing or warning. God continuously tell’s his prophets of old, “Blow the trumpet” I welcome your views as well as others. It doesn’t mean I will change my mind, but that is not what this is about. This is about encourageing one another, and warning others. We all know we’re in the last day’s. And we really don’t know what day or hour Christ is coming. We do need to recognize the signs so that we may be able to warn. I fear that people will be expecting Jesus to rapture them so they will not be persecuted or witness persecution, and if it doesn’t happen that way, when persecution comes they will fall away from God. Or that they will be expecting to be raptured before the revealing of the anti-christ, so they run to him thinking all is well because the Christians are still here. That’s my worries. Great to discuss, that’s how we learn. I gain great insights from discussion. Always pray and follow the Holy Spirit’s Guidance. God Bless. Looking up.
Sorry Lyn, and writinggomer, but one more thing. I guess a better way of putting my belief is I’m praying that the pre-trib rapture is right, but preparing for the mid or post trib.:) And by the way, no one is above reproach as Paul put’s it. That’s why it’s good for Christians to come together, we may each have a piece of the puzzle.
What on earth are you apologizing for? No need to. And amen to all that you said. I am confused by the pre trib teaching I have been taught all of my life as I’m seeing things unfold in the past year and a half. I read John Shorey’s book, and coming from a person who studies diligently and questions everything, I must say that his view made more sense than anything I have ever heard, and it was far more biblical.
This is not one of those subjects where anyone is teaching false doctrine..so it’s quite alright. When it comes to end time prophecy, even some of the best scholars will say “They don’t know for sure..that this is just there speculation and understanding.” It’s different when you have someone telling you stuff you KNOW is not Biblical. Bible prophecy scholars have been wrong before. Such as, the statue they always use from the book of Daniel.
They used to think the one leg was…crud..I’m having a brain fart! They used to think one leg was Rome..that was it…and now they have discovered it is Islam. They used to think we would have the numbers 666 stamped across our head and hands…they now k now that is different. Furthermore, God told John that much of this would be a mystery until it began to happen. It is happening. Maybe it is people like you, Iamnotashamed, and me..and many others who are looking at these things figuring out the mystery.
Anyone who says “Well, this is the way it is!” when it comes to endtimes doesn’t know what they are talking about. But people who say, “I tend to believe it this way or that…but I’m not for certain…” is being honest. We can honestly say as we are seeing these things that God gave us certain signs. He would not have given us those signs if they were going to be common occurrences. So I can’t help but see certain things that take place in the first half of the tribulation happening now, back up, and say, “Wait a minute!” And begin questioning. I’d be a fool not to.
We as believers MUST be watchful… maybe this is why God told us to be watchful. He knew there would be different takes on the end times and He wanted us to watch the events and compare them to the Bible so we would know. I must say, as much as I’d love to hold tight to pre trib…I am leaning more toward mid as I’m seeing these things. I do believe we will be taken at some point because the Bible says this. I do not believe we will be here for the GREAT tribulation…the last half…because those things are indeed God’s wrath. But, going back to my original statement..none of us should be so closed minded about events that even scholars are admitting they are projecting. It is not unbiblical, nor is it false doctrine concerning future events in the Bible, to try and understand things that no one understands.
Now, if I said King David was going to come back on his horse for us, followed by Judas Iscariot, because I know Judas had to have repented in the end…. that would be highly unbiblical..false doctrine.

Last comment came through as anonymous, but it was me, was on my mobile. But your perfectly clear. Something I’ve hesitated to say because I know that most current scholars are so concerned about the timing of everything, but I tend to put more emphasis on events and what is happening than is the rapture going to be before, or after, or at a festival that the jewish people honor, like the feast of trumpets, or first fruits. That’s just me though. Great discussion by the way.

Oh, sister, We are on the same page, how do we inform others? I have followed this teaching through another scholar Irving Baxter. I truly believe we are at the 6th seal and the 6th trumpet. No one will receive the truth because the enemy, Satan, does NOT want people to be prepared. Can you explain something to me, though? What about the order of events? If this is true (the above) it is not necessarily in order. For example, the man who will be the Antichrist has not been revealed by the signing of a peace treaty. According to most scholars on the issue, this must happen first.
On the other hand, I have been confused (having been pre trib all of my life), by the events that have been taking place which, according to pre trib theory, happen in the middle to the end of tribulation. We can’t deny the releasing of the horseman, the bloody rain, the horrendous storms, earthquakes, etc. However, the persecutions and terrible things are mainly to happen in the Middle Eastern areas, and only certain events ‘directly’ affect the world.
Can you explain this one detail to me to clarify..the order of events being ‘out of order’ if this theory is correct. This is something that greatly confuses me. Thanks and God bless you!
I don’t think that the events are out of order necessarily. I believe the seals and the trumpets are concurrent. When I was reconciling this I just couldn’t believe that God would leave us in the dark for 2,000 years until the end. When you research it, you can back everything up with historic facts. I believe different from some, in that Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 is explaining it. “Listen I tell you a mystery; We will not all sleep but we will all be changed. In a flash, in the twinklng of an eye, at the last trumpet.” This convinced me. I know there are other beliefs, but I can’t reconcile them like this. God say’s we are not appointed to wrath, so I believe that we will meet Jesus in the air, as God’s wrath (bowl judgements) are poured out on the earth, and those who worship the beast. See, I believe that with all the increase of persecution of Christians (saints) we are witnessing the 5th seal. The earth changes, earthquakes, volcanos, unheard of storms, etc. are increasing at a rapid rate, to put it biblically, like a woman about to give birth. This will open the 6th seal. The 6th trumpet war, will begin at the river Euphrates, and I fear we are witnessing the beginnings of that right now. Not sure when the 4 angels will be released, but it sure sounds like it’s begining and it began in 2011. This will be a war to beat all wars, and I believe we will witness it. We must prepare our minds and hearts. The 7th trumpet opens to Loud voices in Heaven dclcaring the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. The thing that clinched it for me, is this, Right before the 7 bowls of God’s wrath is poured out, John saw the temple filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and NO ONE could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed. Well that clinched it for me. We’re meeting Jesus in the air to return with Him, before God’s wrath, but at the 7th trumpet. Now, I know Perry Stone and others talk about the marriage supper of the lamb, and we will be in heaven 7 years before we come back, but frankly, I just can’t find evidence of that in the Bible, that’s 100%. I love Perry Stone and the others, but I believe in Revelation chapter 19 it’s very clear, 19:9 John opens this chapter by saying “I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: Hallelujah!….. Then in verse 9 he say’s the angel told him to write: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb! These are the true words of God.” Any way, that’s what I believe. Hope I didn’t confuse you. It gets all jumbled up in my head.
I also believe that the timing of the rapture is not a salvation issue, and that we should all be ready at all times, for we know not the hour or the day.
Not confused. I think basically, the most important thing we can all do, as you said by the end, is be ready. Personally, I can find more ways the enemy could deceive and cause problems for believers by having people keep on believing that nothing has yet happened. The only thing that can happen by believing things have happened is those of us who do will be more prepared in our lives for the things ahead. I am the kind of person like you..I research before I say I DO to anything. I was always pre trib, and I am not taken by false doctrine whatsoever. But I read John Shorey’s book and couldn’t deny that it made more sense that pre trib. Most people just believe pre because that’s what their minds are conformed to, and they don’t want to think of anyone in their family or themselves suffering..so they close their minds. Me, personally, I want to know what the truth is.
